Dear OERu focal points
We are preparing for the launch of the new OERu channel on YouTube and request
your help in identifying an OERu Media Liaison contact for your institution as
well as an optional link to a promotional video of your institution hosted on
Youtube. Please complete the online SURVEY by 30 August 2016:
https://oer.nz/z
(If you do not respond to this survey - we will not be able to profile your
institution in the playlist before the launch of the channel).
More details and background provided below.
Best wishes
Wayne
Thank you to all who responded to our invitation to subscribe to the new OERu
channel on YouTube to qualify for a custom url. We have far exceeded the
minimum number of subscriptions and now have a custom url:
This link will now direct users to our fledgling OERu channel on YouTube.
In preparation for the launch of our new OERu channel on YouTube, we are
constructing a "Meet the OERu partner institutions" playlist. The idea is to
introduce OERu partners to visitors of the OERu YouTube channel using your
nominated YouTube video which will be added to the playlist. All we need is a
link to your preferred institutional video hosted on YouTube you would like the
OERu channel to profile on the playlist. This can be submitted using the survey
link above.
In addition we invite all OERu partners to identify one or more media liaison
contact persons, ideally from your respective marketing and communications
department (or equivalent). We will establish a dedicated OERu media liaison
list on groups.oeru.org to:
1) Review and refine the proposed OERu marketing and communication guidelines
developed through the recent marketing, communications and fund development
project funded by the Hewlett Foundation.
2) Share international media releases as we prepare for the launch of the OERu
1st year of study in the new year.
3) Share opportunities to promote your institution's international brand
awareness through your association with the OERu.
4) Additional objectives identified by your media liaison professionals through
the OERu open consultation process.
