Hi Carol,
Thinking out loud - this course has huge potential for becoming an innovation
hub space - a place where budding entrepreneurs connect and establish networked
relationships. It is possible to build a community which lives beyond the
course. We have the technologies to do this. For example, forums.oeru.org could
become a living space for alumni.
We should keep this in mind with our design. All the WEnotes posts and forum
activities are opportunities for learners to observe and make connections with
rising entrepreneurial stars.
We could, for example, incorporate a "Session 0" learning pathway, were
learners are encouraged to prepare a LinkedIn profile (or other platform) space
to enable folk to connect. In our intro stuff in the course guide we could
incorporate these soft objectives and encourage learners to stay engaged via
the forums.oeru.org site and creative ways in which alumni stay connected - eg
mentoring new recruits etc.
Still need to think about this - but has potential imo,
