Hi everyone,
I have completed the substantive learning pathways for LiDA104: "Critical media
literacies and associated digital skills." See:
http://course.oeru.org/lida104/learning-pathways/introduction-to-media-literacy/overview/
(You can access the source wiki pages via the "Content" link in the footer area
of the published course site.)
As per our open design conventions, please feel free to correct typos directly
on the wiki pages. Suggestions for substantive changes should be posted on the
corresponding talk page in the wiki or via this email list.
DEVELOPMENT NOTES:
1) I'm leaving the front matter till last - this will be quick and easy to
publish.
2) The definition of media literacy, and the learning outcome for this
microcourse includes the requirement to "create media" - so I have incorporated
an optional "image challenge" for each learning pathway.
3) You will note that I have not included many forum discussions and
interactions - this is by design. Given a wide international audience from
different cultural and world view perspectives, combined with important
critical media topics that could be a catalyst for controversy for those with a
tendency for trolling or little experience conversing across cultures - I want
to avoid the risks of flaming, potentially offensive comments etc.
4) I will complete the final pathway on "Create media" tomorrow and you will
see that have a clear concept of what to include in these sub-pages.
PLEASE HELP TO POPULATE SPOT POLLS for LiDA104

no votes.
